Important Summer Seniors application information and timeline:

Completed applications are due by May 1; this is also the last date you will have to make any changes. After submitting your application, you will receive an email with next steps and a link to edit your application (if needed).
All program applicants will receive their application decision in mid-May.
If invited to a session, please note that space for each session is limited. There is no guarantee you will be able to switch sessions.

Summer Seniors is a residential recruitment program designed for rising high school seniors in South Carolina. The program offers a comprehensive experience that includes sessions on college admissions, academic preparation, student life, and much more.

Participants connect with university faculty, staff, and current USC students who serve as counselors.

All rising seniors from South Carolina are eligible to apply. During the review process, priority will be given to students who meet one of the following criteria:

Resident of a rural or small town in South Carolina

Qualify for free or reduced-price lunch in high school

Complete and submit a NACAC or College Board fee waiver, or obtain a letter from your high school counselor.

First-generation student

USC defines a first-generation student as any individual whose parents and/or guardian did not complete a bachelor's degree.

Important Summer Seniors application information and timeline:

All students will be notified of their Summer Seniors status by mid-May.

If selected for the program, there will be a required $100 program fee (eligible for fee waiver); additionally there is no guarantee you will be able to switch your assigned sessions as space in each session for our program is extremely limited.
